What happened to us?

You feel your relationship with your partner slipping. The intimacy and romance from early on has faded, or happens infrequently. You didn’t think this could ever happen, yet your relationship with your partner feels more like a manual for your dishwasher sometimes than the adventure novel you were writing together.

Your partner now seems to be more connected with their phone or their friends than with you.

You try to talk about your feelings, but you you don’t know what to say or how to say it. Your thoughts are sometimes lost in the silence, or when you do talk, in the turbulent sea of conflict.

Learn new ways to talk things out, backed by research

When you work with me, you’ll learn strategies to talk with your partner on a deeper level, through discussing your experiences, feelings, and asking for what you need.

Gain awareness

You will also gain more clarity and understanding about yourself and your partner. Each of you bring yourselves and your past relationships—family, friends, or lovers—to the table. You’ll also learn how your body and brain respond to stress and how that affects your relationship with your partner. Couples therapy will help you draw insights and awareness at how this history impacts your current relationship and your current communication patterns.

Create change

Your relationship with your partner can change, and so can you. Commitment to therapy, awareness, and consistency at practicing new skills are the first steps to get you back there.
